Gabe Boothroyd Roberts

After articling with the firm, Gabe joined the team as an associate and is developing a broad administrative and civil litigation practice.

Gabe holds a J.D. from the University of British Columbia with a specialization in Aboriginal Law.  While at law school he participated in the Law Students’ Legal Advice Program and the Indigenous Community Legal Clinic where he provided legal assistance to individuals who could not afford traditional legal services.  He also received numerous awards for academic achievement including the Allard Scholar Renewable Entrance Scholarship, and prizes in criminal, intellectual property and constitutional law.  Upon graduation, Gabe was honoured to receive the Law Society Gold Medal in recognition of achieving the highest aggregate marks in three years of study at law school.

Prior to beginning his legal career, Gabe toured extensively with his band Five Alarm Funk, performing at festivals across North America and receiving two Juno Award nominations.  He continues to enjoy composing and performing music of all genres.
